Wintertime SADness

During the darker seasons, many people begin to notice a lack of energy, changes in sleep patterns, an increase in anxiety, a creeping sadness, a decreased desire for social interactions, and perhaps a nagging feeling of overall “blegh”.

The Importance of Validation

Validation is letting the other person know that you hear them by affirming their thoughts, feelings, or experience. Validation is not saying that they are right, wrong, or anything else. It allows the other person to feel that their lived experience is accepted.
