Initial Session: If the young person is 12 years or older, bring them to the initial session, if the young person is under 12 years of age, do not bring them to the initial session. Please bring any medical documentation, former assessments, treatment plans and or supports that pertain to the concerns you would like to address. This session will take approximately 90 minutes.
School Observation: The psychologist will observe the young person in their academic/childcare setting. This will be coordinated by the Psychologist with the school/childcare setting. Please inform the young person’s school/childcare setting that the Psychologist will be reaching out to coordinate this observation. The Psychologist will spend approximately 60 minutes at the academic/childcare location, with drive time, 90 minutes in total. If the young person is 12 years or older this school observation will not be possible.
Assessment Session: Depending on the needs determined by the Initial Session and the School Observation the Psychologist will assess the young person in office. This will take approximately 2.5 hours. This may need to be broken into several sessions, depending on the needs of the young person. Please bring a few snacks and water for the young person. Additional Sessions may be required.
